If you are looking for a big upgraded version of smartphone from OnePlus, then here comes the actual news suggesting that the OnePlus 2 indeed to get USB Type-C port.
OnePlus says its second flagship phone, aka OnePlus 2 will be powered by a USB-C cable, and continues its habbit in revealing specs for new devices one at a time on Google+, and today’s wrap off was all about the USB-C port. Previously, it has revealed that the next OnePlus phone will be running on Snapdragon 810 SoC and later it has also showed up what its OnePlus 2 price tag goes with.
Our second spec revealed: The #OnePlus2 will be the first flagship smartphone to use the latest Type C USB. We want to lead the way in power connectivity.
Today, OnePlus took the Twitter account, and tweeted about USB-C port for OnePlus 2, which it “want to lead the way in power connectivity.” One one other Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 – it was rumored to be getting a USB Type-C port, which is no where near to be announced earlier.
OnePlus now may indeed be the first to the dance, while future iPhone 6s are also expected to convert to USB-C for power and data, too, seen in this fall. Apple was the first to bring Type-C USB technology into the public eye when it announced in March. It’s new MacBook‘s sole port for power and data is USB-C. That should remove a major pain point from previous USB connectors. USB Type-C is also small enough that it can be used on phones.
Now that OnePlus is planning to bring the same USB Type-C tech into its upcoming OnePlus 2. At the moment we have only measure the consiquences and reveals. Stay tuned!
