Xiaomi Redmi 2 Reportedly Getting A Price Cut Of Rs 1000 On July 7th

The Chinese company Xiaomi is all set to make an announcement in India on July 7th about the price drop of Redmi 2, which has taken to Twitter to put yp a cryptic taeser, which also asks users to “get ready to change their phones” affordable.


The teaser of Redmi 2 price cut on Twitter handle to show the price tag of Rs 5,999, and with that it could be a price drop of almost INR 1000 for Xiaomi Redmi 2 in India. Alternatively, it could also be an excahnge offer for the Redmi Note 2, which brings the price further down to a mere Rs 5999.

Recently Xiaomi slashed the Redmi Note 4G price and is now available for Rs 7999 and alsong with it also received a price cut for the Mi4, whereby the 64GB is available for Rs 19,999 and the 32GB Xiaomi Mi4 is now retailing at Rs 14,999.

Specs-wise, the Redmi 2 sports a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor, paired with Adreno 306 GPU. The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2,200mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots supporting LTE, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on MIUI 6 based on Android Kitkat out-of-the-box.
