Talking about the factory images of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop started arriving back in December and followed by January, and now, hits as first OTA updates rolling out for 2013 Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. 5.0.2 Android Lollipop OTA links are now available for download.
However, these are small updates and like these tend to do more under the hood in terms of bug fixes and performance enhancements, so we won’t be expecting anything very exciting though. There’s no major roll to run out and flash the file either.
It was just few weeks after Google releasing Android 5.0.2 factory images for the Nexus 7 (2012) WiFi, has now, a few days ago released 5.0.2 update images for Nexus 10 and WiFi version of 2013 Nexus 7. Official changelog however states that this is only a bug fixer for storage issues and brings alarm problems fix.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update was actually released in November last month with Material Design, better notifications, battery saver inclusion, best security aspect, also included Android SmartLock, New Quick Settings, Improved network hand offs, flexible sharing, faster and smoother performance improvements and was more powerful experience with ART Runtime and added 15 new languages and more.
Next follow up was the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update, which almost broyght nothing except bug fixes and today we are in front of the Android 5.0.2 OTA update.
You can now download Android 5.0.2 Lollipop factory images for your Nexus devices from here, Google Developers website. OTA update is not available at the moment, and Google has also released a minor 5.0.2 update for Nexus 6, Nexus 5 and Nexus 9.
