Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Seeding To Samsung Galaxy S5 In Korea

Samsung finally started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Galaxy S5 in its home country, the South Korea. The list here are eligible to receive the Lollipop update over the air (OTA). Galaxy S5 models of Korean mobile carrier SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus are now receiving the Android 5.0 update starting from December 5.


Poland Galaxy S5 already getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update since last week and the latest upgrade in Korea for the S5 has a build number G900KKTU1BNL2 for all three carriers. Samsung’s TouchWiz UI stil remains unstable even after the Lollipop update.

Here’s what the update brings with it to the Android 5.0 Galaxy S5 Lollipop smartphone. With lock screen notifications, it also gets increased performance thanks to the new ART runtime, better battery life, optimized fingerprint regognition, redesigned Samsung apps, heads-up alerts, multi-user support for phones, more interestingly, the Smart Lock, MirrorLink and many more.

Soon Samsung will be rolling out the Lollipop update to its Galaxy Note 3 and the newly launched Galaxy Note 4 in early 2015. HTC and Sony have also started updating their smartphones with the latest version of Android. Download and install!
