Google at its I/O 2015 developers conference announced the latest version of its mobile OS, Android M. Download links for Developer Preview released for Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and even for Nexus Player, and now it has confirmed that the first OEMs to get the Android M update. For HTC One M9 and One M9+ smartphones as well.
According to Jeff Gordon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager at HTC, in a tweet announced the Android M update for both M9 and M9+ smartphones without revealing an exact release date time rame. He also clarified that more HTC devices will apparently to get Android M update and be unveiled pretty soon.

New inclusions on the Android M includes a revamped app permissions; Google Now on Tap ability, new Chome feature that will evidently change the Web experience for Android users, which also gets with it a bundle of new ways to handle app links, Web links. Android Pay mobile payment system which is now official on Android M, with fingerprint APIs for developers to add into their apps, and most importantly brings the much needed battery saver – called Doze, to make Android devices smart about managing battery life. Additionally, Android M also includes RAM manager, adoptable storage devices, new app drawer, auto backup and restore apps, and support for the most popular USB Type-C connector ports.
