CES 2016: Qualcomm Unveils LeTV Le Max Pro First Snapdrgon 820-Powered Smartphone

Qualcomm, a smartphone chipset maker has shared something very interesting today at CES 2016 keynote in Las Vegas, by spilling the beans and taking the wraps off of its first Snapdragon 820 smartphone, the LeTV Le Max Pro.

Equipped with Qualcomm Sense ID Fingerprint technology on the LeTV smartphone, will offer a more secured authentication on mobiles. With the power of Snapdragon 820 on Le max Pro, brings the support for 802.11ad multi-gigbit Wi-Fi and X12 LTE support with Cat.12/13 download speeds of up to 600Mbps.

The first announcement made by Qualcomm was an automotive version of Sanpdragon 820 SoC called SD820Am, capable of processing simutaniously massive ammounts of data and it can also track the driver’s movements via integrated sensors and cameras, output picture of few 4K resolution displays and all-in-all provide real-time navigation and assistance, among other reveals.

The stock version of the Snapdragon 820 chip was showcased as part of an unlikely pioneer. A phone coming from the Chinese firm LeTV. With ultrasonic fingerprint technology made possible by the chipset inside the heart of LeTV Le Max Pro hardware. Chip that is specifically designed 2.2GHz quad-core Kyro processor which comes with custom and better Adreno 530 GPU, Quick Charge 3.0, tri-band WiFi among many other gestures.

Specifications regarding LeTV Le Max Pro, you will find a screen with 6.33-inch QHD at a reslolution of 2560×1440 2k display, paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM, includes 64GB of internal storage and runs on Android Lollipop based on EUI ROM. On the connectivity front, you get a Dual SIM option, fingerprint reader with Qualcomm Sense ID, 4G LTE with VoLTE, 802.11ad 2×2 MU-MIMO, Tri-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 with APT-X, GPS, NFC.

While the photography on the smartphone, it carries a 21MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 Sensor, OIS, f/2.0 aperture, dual ISP support and a 4MP front cam with OmniVision OV4688 sensor, 81.6-degree wide-angle lens and it also has a MHL 3.0, USB Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, Wireless HDMI, LeHiFi and audio chip built by AKG support. The whole gadget is power backed by a 3400mAh battery.

It is expected to launch later this year. No words on the LeTV Le Max Pro pricing given as yet. But stay tuned!
