The World’s First Fujitsu Phone Features Iris Recognition; Details

The Fujitsu ARROWS NX F-04G becomes the first smartphone in the market with Iris scanning authentication, which also supports 4G LTE-Advanced technology. The device recently went on sale exclusively in Japan, where NTT Docomo is offering its for $750 sans contract.


The Fujitsu’s latest innovative phone has some interesting and eye-catching features and are unique which we haven’t seen as yet on other smartphones in the world. First and foremost one that integrated with Iris recognition would be the Arrows F-04G from Fujitsu.

Iris authentication on a smartphone? This is a type of biometric authentication that uses the pattern of the iris in the human eye. This feature in Fujitsu’s smartphone is called Iris Passport, lets you unlock your device as well as perform webn login by simply looking at the screen. Moreover the Iris Passport can also be used with any applications that require a passcode, or for payment authentication, and eventually the iris scanner can even distinguish differences in the eyes of twins trying to unlock the same device.

Well, it’s somewhat similar to that of the models already available on the market with fingerprint authentication, and once again with no exceptions, the Fujitsu Arrow NX F-04G will be the first new arriver with the ability to autenticate through your eyes, means Iris detection. With an intelligent module, learning more about your eyes’s patterns each time you use it.

The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and when speaking of its screen size, the Arrows NX F-04G features a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1440xx2560 IPS display. Specs-wise, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC with octa-core CPU and Adreno 430 GPU, paired by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that is expandable using microSD cards.

Capability of the Fujitsu’s Arrows NX F-04G would be the LTE-Advanced support up to download speed of 225Mbps, Voice-over-LTE, NFC, GPS, and WiFi. The devicve packs a 3120mAh battery and on the other hand sports a 21MP primary camera as well.

Available to buy on NTT Docomo in Japan. The Fujitsu ARROWS NX F-04G is priced at $750 USD. No details on when its gonna launch outside Japanese market.
