HTC One (M8) Gets Android Lollipop Update In Europe

Finally, HTC has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its One (M8) smartphone in the Europe. The news comes from the Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, who posted it on Twitter.

Updates from users strated in from Germany, France and Nordic, but the update roll out will be in waves so it may not be available in your region tight this minute. The update however have smarten up the interface with a new lock screen and new app switcher. But the HTC Sense 6.0 remains largely unchanged.


The update is somewhat heavier than in other regions, weighing in at 780MB and brings the ROM version up to 4.16.401.10. Versions of the update for other regions were 580MB and 650MB.


Owning an HTC One (M8) and living in the European reggion. You can navigate to Settings > About Phone > Software Update and check for the update, if available. Make sure you’re on Wi-Fi though, because its a rather larger download, which can swallow your Cellular Data connection bandwidth.
