Huawei’s top-end mid-range G series smartphone has gained a new member starting today, gone official now with an affordable price-tag. Believe me, the all-new G7 Plus is somewhat worth to check out. The successor to the Ascend G7 from last year, and with refreshed aesthetics, the new comer brings with it best features.
Specifications wise, the G7 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p curved 2.5D Gorilla glass display. Under the hood the new phone is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Cortex A53 – 4×1.5GHz + 4×1.2GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU.
The G7 Plus packs a 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card. With Hybrid Dual SIM slot, the handset’s second SIM can also be used as a SD card. Supports 4G LTE connectivity bands offering 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS.
Battery on on the G7 Plus you’ll find a 3000mAh package with the photography department on the Android 5.0 Lollipop sporting Huawei Emotion UI 3.1 skin on top, you get a 13MP rear dual-Tone camera with LED flash, OIS capabilities. Dimensions are 152.5 x 76.5 x 7.5 mm, and it weighs 167g. Forgot to speak about the 5-megapixel selfie shooter which is also present for better selfie snaps.
Future is in front and the phone should also receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in February 2016. The G7 Plus is made out of 90% metal, with only a couple of plastic panels on the back that hide its various antennas. It is also equipped with fingerprint scanner under the rear cam sensor.
The Huawei G7 Plus comes in Silver, Grey and Gold colors and is available to purchase at around $330 sans contract. Currently, the G7 Plus gone official in Thailand and expect it to iterate in many more countries, soon.
