The Lenovo S60 officially hits the shelves of the company’s brand Store, also available to buy through Flipkart, Amazon and thedostore.com from Monday. For $204, you can now purchase Lenovo S60 directly without registrations required. More details on the new smartphone specs, price in India can be found right after this fold.
It’s the Lenovo’s latest smartphone in the S series, called Lenovo S60 packs a 5-inch HD IPS display, is powered by a Snapdragon 401 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz quad-core CPU paired with Adreno 306 GPU. Coupled with 2GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD.
The Lenovo’s S60 smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Vibe 2.0 UI on top (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop) and it sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and as oft-mentioned houses a 5MP front-facing camera to shoot selfie pictures and video calling.
The dual SIM Lenovo S60 supports 3G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS options and it packs a 2150mAh battery. Available in Perl White, Graphite Grey and Laser Yellow colors, but currently goes on sale with a Graphite Grey color.
Finally, the Lenovo S60 is priced at Rs 12,999 respectively in Indian market. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have support for 4G LTE. But it comes pre-installed with some proprietary DOit apps, such as SECUREit which will help users track, analyse and optimise their data usage; the SHAREit app for fast phone-to-phone data transfer capability without the need for Wi-Fi or mobile network; and SYNCit to that will give users a permanent backup of all their data and whilst making it accessible on any device.
I don’t think this will be a competitive price tag for the new comer, Lenovo S60 versus Xiaomi Redmi 2 vs Mi 4i or the domestic rivals like Micromax Yu Yuphoria at Rs 6999 or its own rival Lenovo A6000 Plus or Intex Aqua Power+ either.
