Lenovo took the wraps of Vibe S1 at IFA 2015 in Berlin and the company is planning to launch it in India on Monday at an event held in New Delhi. What’s the hype here? The highlight of the yet-unavailable Lenovo Vibe S1 is the dual front-facing camera setup, and the device carries a price-tag of $299 – translates to an approximate Rs 19,500.
The company has sent out invites for the event for Vibe S1 launch, which shows a portion of the glass-back design and metal frame with chamfered edges. One of the USP’s of the smartphone is two selfie-centric cameras. The dua cam set up implementation let user refocus on selfies after they are captured. An 8-megapixel shooter paired with 2MP unit – acts like a depth sensor. Right from adding DSLR-like blur effects to swapping backgrounds, you can add a dash of creativity to your selfies.
The Vibe S1 comes with a metal frame and glass-back design that adds a premium look. It sports a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS LCD display and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6752 CPU, paired with 3GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 32GB and can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus, an 8MP main front-facing shooter along with a 2MP secondary front camera.
Connectivity options includes on Vibe S1 are 4G LTE support with Dual SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. and is backed by a 2420mAh battery. In terms of software, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box with Lenovo’s Custom UI running atop.
