4G LTE Tablet: LG Announces 10.1-Inch G Pad II With WUXGA Display, Snapdragon 800 SoC

The LG G Pad II will be the South Korean electronics latest Android device and of course the successor to last year’s G Pad 10.1-inch tablet. LG has just unveiled 10.1″ G Pad II ahead of IFA 2015 and the details of the new 4G-enabled slate can be checked right here.


LG G Pad II 4G LTE Tablet Specifications

With a 10.1-inch WUXGA (1920x1200px) display, the slate runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, which is powered by an old version of chipset from Qualcomm, of Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.26GHz Quad-Core Processor. The device from LG has a soft metallic finish and is just 7.8mm thick and the Korean firm claims that its the slimmest bezel ever used among similar tablets with 10.1″ screen. It is paired with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable with microSD card support.

It has a Reader Mode, Dual Window, QuickMemo+ and comes preloaded with bloatware (Microsoft Office for Android), exclusively offering 100GB of Free OneDrive storage for two years. Apart that the Android tablet poses with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing sensor and it as aforementioned supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth 4.1, GPS connectivity options packing a powerful 7400mAh battery.


Available in both WiFi and 4G variants. The LG G Pad II will be available to buy in key markets of North America, Europe and Asia starting September. Pricing will be revealed during the iteration and LG will showcase the tablet at the IFA 2015 conference from September 4th to 9th in Berlin. Stay tuned!
