The Micromax Canvas Tabby P469, the domestic manufacturer’s latest tablet in its Canvas series hits the retail stores in the country. Just after unveiling its “world’s slimmest smartphone” in the same segment with 5.1mm thickness (Canvas Silver 5), has for kids announced the slate, which comes with a dual use mode for both parents and kids. Described: The parent-mode offers complete access to the tablet while the kids-use mode lets their children learn, explore and grow through content, backed by parental control. The Canvas Tabby can be used as a fully-functional Android Tablet to watch movies, check email, web surfing and everything when in parent-use mode.
The kid-use mode briefed that it is powered by EddyPaddy, developed by kids-content company Educren, and is a kid-safe zone with over a 100 originally designed, pre-loaded applications and access to over 500 carefully curated videos under 3 areas – Education, Creativity and Entertainment. Operating system that it runs on is specifically designed for kids for an age of 2 to 8 years. Where they can create their own profile and get age-specific content. Being a parent of that kid, you can also set a time period on particular day so that your child doesn’t get hooked to it.
Priced at Rs 6,499, the Tabby Kid is an Android KitKat tablet, packs a 1.3Ghz processor; 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. The tablet offers a 7-inch TFT display, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera and is powered by a 3,200 mAh battery. With Dual SIM support it offers 3G (with voice calling), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. Available to buy in White color option.
The Micromax Canvas Tabby goes on sale through Flipkart excluysively for a period of 3 weeks and will release across all online, offline stores later.
