Motorola Moto G (Gen 2) Receiving Android 5.0.2 Update In The US Over-The-Air (OTA)

According to the official update from Motorola, Lollipop (5.0.2) is now rolling out to both first and 2nd-gen of Moto G in India, also in the United States, Moto G (Gen 2) is now receiving the latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop update over-the-air.


Android 5.0.2 Lollipop is rolling out in phases to Moto G (2nd Gen) in the US. However, both the USA and India are specifically mentioned in the tweet. 1st-gen Moto Reddit and XDA users from other parts of the world, including Brazil and Europe are reportedly receiving the OTA update as well.

How to check if the Android 5.0.2 OTA hits your Moto G (2014), go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates and check for new updates. If notified, then manually download and update your 1st / 2nd-Generation Moto G, by backing up all your personal information.
