Nextbit Robin Launched In India: Price, Specifications, And Availability

Nextbit has finally made good on its promise to release the cloud-first Nextbit Robin smartphone available in India. Priced at Rs. 19,999, and will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting Monday.



After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the cloud-focused Android device is now out for general public – sales to kickstarter from May 30 for about $297. Colors include both the Mint and Grey options, and it would be good to know that you can already make a purchase of NextBit Robin on Amazon with international shipping, if you live outside India.

About NextBit Robin, it offers a 5.2-inch IPS 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 13MP + 5MP camera combo and a 2560mAh battery package. Worth noting that apart from the 32GB of internal storage, the smartphone comes with 100GB cloud storage, which is the best selling feature. By syncing cloud and merging on-board storage, the device backs up apps and media files, intelligently archives the bundle that are not frequently used, later easily restores them when needed.

The whole cloud-front Nextbit Robin runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Whenever the hardware is plugged in and connected to WiFi, it syncs with the cloud automatically and create extra space on the handset. There you got four tiny lights on its back that let user know that Robin is syncing. Connectivity options also includes fingerprint sensor on the Home button that comes with USB Type-C port, supports 4G LTE.
