The Nokia 2 is another budget-friendly smartphone rumored to be launching on October 31st, India. Nokia 2 Press Renders Leak

It seems like HMD Global apparently set to expand its lineup by adding the Nokia 2 smartphone as the most affordable offering. With the successful marketing of the Nokia 6, and Nokia 8, as somewhat premium devices, the latest has surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG site and is quite likely to debut on October 31.

However, the certification on the Bluetooth SIG site does not detail any key features of the Nokia 2. But again, it mentions five variants of the smartphone which are all designed for the global markets. The online listing also points to 4G support and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.

The modest hardware to be found in the Nokia 2 (or at least its TA-1035 variant) includes a Snapdragon 212 chipset, a single gig of RAM memory and 8GB of internal storage. It’s been offered as an entry-level smartphone, the camera stick to this concept as well. With a 8MP rear-facing shooter, it also comes with 5MP front-facing selfie sensor.

AnTuTu Listing

The new handset – Nokia Android series of smartphones from HMD Global is also said to feature a 5-inch HD display, and comes running on 7.1 Nougat mobile operating system. The presence of the Nokia 2 smartphone is yet to be confirmed officially. Now that the leaked press renders have suggested its appearance. The images pointed out that the new handset will come in at least two color options – black and white. And the 4000mAh battery capacity is more than enough.

What’s not really surprising for a phone is its cost. The Nokia 2 is priced at $99 in the US. A retailer listing already hinted that the handset Nokia 2 would come at a reasonable tag of INR 6,500.
