Just yesterday we came up with the new Nokia C1 Android smartphone and also talked about the first ever Android-running Nokia tablet, the N1. Now we got specs and pricing information regarding the Nokia N1 tablet that runs on Android OS out of the box. Along with a very imminent release time frame of “Q1 2015”, we can say that its going to launch pretty soon in China first.
Rumors out of China has suggesting the actual launch date – January 7. As the translation from Chinese isn’t perfect though, it’s not 100 percent clear right now on which the day starting on which the China customers will be able to purchase the Nokia N1, or just the date of its official unveil for the Chinese market.
Nevertheless, it looks like the Qi estimation is all about to see the first ever Nokia Android tablet, and we got no idea whether its going to launch Nokia N1 out of of China elsewhere, since during the official announcement Finnish only mentioned China as the initial launch country. Other regions will also see the latest Nokia tablet running Android at some later point in time.
Specifications-wise, the Nokia N1 features a 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera, a 5MP front snapper, an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset clocked at a 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5300mAh battery. It will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia Z launcher on top, like the yet-unannounced Nokia C1 handset.
However, the Nokia N1 price for China hasn’t been leaked as yet, but the Android tablet should cost around $249 roughly, which is the official number (sans taxes though). Stay tuned!
