Admitting that however the new OnePlus smartphone would be priced more than the current flagship, and if the rumor becomes true, then we are ging to see the OnePlus 2, as the cheapest Snapdragon 810 chipset-laden smartphone in the market.
Rumors also suggests that another smartphone with more powerful specs can be launched before the end of the year. So two handsets, one top-end flagship and another a cheaper version will be released this year. But the high-end is due to be released later.
Now as per the OnePlus One’s successor alleged Chinese bechmarking website, specifications of the low-cost OnePlus 2 goes with Snapdragon 810 processor; 3GB of RAM; full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display; 5-megapixel front camera, and Adreno 430 GPU. Hinted at a 13-megapixel rear camera on the OnePlus 2, instead of a 16-megapixel camera. To include a 3300mAh battery, supports 4G LTE; GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and OTG connectivity.
The OnePlus 2 will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 and soon to receive CM 12.1 update, and the update for OxygenOS with the same build is currently on hold and will be made available for OnePlus One only after the OnePlus 2 launched initially.
