As expected, OPPO A37 has been launched in India soon after going live on sale in China. It’s an entry-level smartphone, but has some of high-end specs and will be available in India starting July 1. Specifications-wise, the smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS 2.5D display with a sreen of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and comes with a pixel density of 293ppi. The device’s screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 from scratches.
Software it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 3.0 UI skin on top. It has a Dual-SIM card slots supporting 4G LTE connectivity and are compatible with Indian LTE bands and supports download speeds of up to 150Mbps on the network. Offers 3G, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, USB-OTG, and Micro-USB.
Under-the-hood, the Oppo A37 is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and a 16GB of internal storage. The device’s memory can be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Photography-front, the smartphone A37 sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and full-HD (1080p) video recording capability. For selfies, there’s a 5MP front camera sensor with OmniBSI+ and screen flash features on board as well. It packa a 2630mAh battery cell for the whole hardware to power-up, alternatively, there’s no quick charging feature.
