Oppo N3 Release Imminent In China, As It Gets Network License [Report]

Two months ago Oppo N3 was officially announced With motorized 16-Megapixel Rotating Camera . But unfortunately it’s yet to hit the promised 20 market shelves, where the smartphone is inimitably expected by the end of this year. It couldn’t quite manage to make its debut this deadline though. Now we got something that makes many out there happy.

The smartphone with reversible camera has just certified and cleared Chinese telecommunications authority TENAA getting a network license. It means that the Oppo N3 can now legally sold in its homeland, China and will hit the shelves anytime now.

The company has also revealed the US pricing of the handset at $649 (roughly 39,800) in India. Its highlight is its motorized swivel camera that can track objects as they move, and can rotate up to 206 degrees. The Oppo N3 camera features 16-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensor with a pixel size of 1.34 micrometres and can shoot panoramas in up to 64-megapixels, also flaunts a Schneider Kreuznach-certified lens build, apart from an LED flash.


Other specs on Oppo N3 includes “Ultra image 2.0” suite with slow shutter, ultra macro mode after focus, and shooting in RAW. Fingerprint sensor is also integrated in its back panel that can perform several functions, for example: the images can be protected with fingerprint authentication with a single swipe after capturing an image.

The Oppo N3 specifications goes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 403ppi. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box skinned with the company’s new ColorOS 2.0.1. Powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AA) chipset is supported by 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU, includes 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).


Connectivity options on Oppo N3 supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB 2.0 and it packs a 3000mAh battery.More off it has a notification light below the screen, like seen on the Oppo Find 7, with new Notification 2.0 software. It measures 161.2x77x9.9mm and weighs 192 grams.
