Samsung Galaxy A9 Announced: Features 6-inch 1080p Screen, Snapdragon 652, Fingerprint Sensor, 4000mAh Battery And More

It’s has been made official in China, Samsung took the stage earlier today during its Galaxy A Party 2016 event to introduce A9. As expected and reported, it’s the high-end smartphone in the A lineup. The Galaxy A9 has been leaked several times in the past few weeks revealing its specs as well as physical design. Smartphone packs a 6-inch fullHD (1080p) Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and has a 2.74mm narrow frame. Under the hood, the new Galaxy A9 from Samsung is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor clocked (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU. It brings with it 3GB of RAM memory and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

On the software front, the A9 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and it is a dual-SIM handset supports 4G LTE connectivity and also offers  Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+, NFC. There’s a fingerprint sensor under the home button and the camera on its back it carries a 13MP OIS S5K3L2 sensor, f/1.9 aperture and LED flash and on its front it gets an 8MP f/1.9 selfie shooter. The most impressive is that it is backed by a 4000mAh battery package with Fast Charging capabilities. The Galaxy A9, similar to other recently launched high-end devices from Samsung, comes with Samsung Pay.

It will be available to purchase in White, Gold and Pink colors and point here is that it would be a bit different from International variant if it launches in India, could have changes in its SIM, 4G support and other incrimental upgrades.
