The Samsung Galaxy A9 surfaced in press materials prior to launch and will join the recently announced 2016 A3, A5, and A7 models of the Galaxy A series smartphones lineup. If this is to be believed that the hardware leaked via official promo pictures, then, it is indeed expected to go official later this month.
Now that Samsung‘s Galaxy A9 2016 smartphone with SM-A9000 brand teased on the Chinese social networking site, Weibo, revealing that the handset will be sporting a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and run on the Snapdragon 620 chipset with 3GB of RAM on board, offers a powerful octa-core 1.8GHz processor with 4x Cortex-A72 and 4x Cortex-A53 cores, while the GPU in charge of graphics is Adreno 510.
It is said that the Galaxy A9 will be following the trend established by smaller Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 variants of 2016 and will built around a metal frame and dual 2.5D glass pannels, while running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. those should be supported natively by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which we can’t confirm this feature.
Other specs of the Galaxy A9 include a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and bright f/1.9 aperture. There is also an 8MP selfie snapper with support for panoramic pictures, 32GB expandable storage and also come with a fingerprint sensor on the bottom button. It going to support 4G LTE Cat.7 connectivity with packing a powerful 4000mAh battery with fast charging capability.
