Samsung Launches Two 4G-capable Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 Phones In India

The Samsung’s new LTE-enabled handsets are aimed at budget market and the Galaxy On series targeting the younsters in the country. Both the smartphone were already introduced a while ago, which resembles the earlier J5 and J7. The Galaxy On5 and the Galaxy On7 are to be sold exclusively on Flipkart and will be available from midnight in India.

Samsung has finally made the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 official at an event in Delhi, as the Korean firm sent invites to some media persons for this scheduled keynote. On Flipkart, you will be also having an exchange scheme for those who wish to upgrade from older phones.

Before you head over to the e-commerce portal, you have to note that these devices brought with them an all-new feature, called Untra Data Saving mode, where Samsung claims the phones will be able to compress data streaming by up to 50%. Great!

Features and Specifications:

The Galaxy On5 sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) TFT display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz octa-core Exynos 3475 SoC coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It packs an 8-megapixel rear auto-focus camera and a 5-megapixel fordwared facing sensor. It has an 8GB of internal storage but further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card support. 4G LTE connectivity capable for LTE bands for India and have dual SIM functionality and is backed by a 2600mAh battery.

The Galaxy On7 has similar specs as its brother, except for a larger display and battery, and a higher resolution sensor. It bears a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) TFT display, and runs on a 1.2GHz octa-core Exynos 3475 SoC coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It sports an 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options includes, 4G,  Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

Both the smartphones runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and has ixRadio that is available exclusively for Samsung devices with music catalogue of over 32 million tracks.
