The oft-mentioned device is another version of current flagship of Xperia Z4, known in Japan and this Sony Xperia Z4v is an exclusive variant of Verizon Wireless packing some upgrades over the Xperia Z3+. Details can be found right after this jump!
Notably, the Xperia Z4v flaunts a 5.2-inch WQHD display, refreshed from the size of Z3+ with FullHD (1080p) unit. Another upgrade it brings with it is the built-in Qi and PMA wireless charging support.
Although the new Z4v model even has some visual differences when compared to the Xperia Z3+. Like the front-facing camera and sensor it have swapped positions, and the Sony logo has moved to make room for the Verizon branding. Battery is also upgraded and with a slightly bigger 3000mAh one, instead of the original 2,930-mAh unit, the Z4v is 1.7mm thicker and 18 grams heavier than its siblings.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset and the Xperia Z4v is paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage. Camera cosists of 20.7MP primary and a 5MP selfie-focused front-facing setup. The phone still boasts IP65 and IP68 ratings for water and dust protection.
The Xperia Z4v has the Trilumos display technology and X-Reality engine for extra contrast screen. Whatever the possible outcome of such a move, Sony and Verizon seem to be going through with it.
The Sony Xperia Z4v Verizon version will be available in Black and White color options this summer. Pricing details haven’t been revealed at the moment.
