T-Mobile Starts Rolling Out Android 5.1.1 Update For Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge

Finally the wait is over and the owners of the latest Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge officially getting the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update over the air (OTA). T-Mobile exclusive unist of the USA becomes first in line to receive the new Android 5.1.1 OTA. The latest Google’s build version of mobile OS and TouchWiz now includes simplified exposure control system in the camera, a wallpaper parallax effect, and numerous changes in the users interface, such as “option to remove the S Finder and Quick Connect” buttons from the notifications shade – a long-standing eye-sore for a lot of Samsung users. In addition to that, the Android 5.1.1 for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge also fixes some bugs in Lollipop, and I mean that it also brings a couple of new features.

Performance has received a boost as well. Unlike all the software updates, this new 5.1.1 Lollipop OTA is available through Samsung Kies, and over the database. Spotted already on T-Mobile’s network, which also improves the S6 and S6 Edge phone’s battery life as well. First and foremost, this Android 5.1.1 update hits the T-Mobile’s Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices, and later be made available (OTA) for other versions of the smartphones globally.

Rumors already spead online that the Galaxy Note 4 will be next in line to get an Android 5.1.1 OTA update, sometime by the end of July. While Samsung’s A series and E series will also be receiving it eventually, but unfortunately the older flagship models might not taste the Android 5.1.1 flavor. The package is currently available for models SM-G925T and SM-G920T and comes as an OTA , if you have the patience to wait for the roll-out, or, a standard Samsung Kies update.
