The Redmi Note Prime is the company’s latest and second “Made in India” handset by Xiaomi, just comes after Redmi Prime 2 launch. The new Note Prime is powered by some refreshed aesthetics and specifications. By the way it packs a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels screen. Likewise, there are some minimal changes found on the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note Prime aka Redmi Note 2Prime – announced in China.
It comes with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) chipset with 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz CPU with Adreno 306 GPU on board. It is backed by a 3100mAh battery and it measures 154×78.7×9.4mm and weighing in at 185g.
What’s more impressive is that the Redmi Note Prime runs on MIUI 7 ROM based on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and it supports microSD card up to 32GB memory. Photography front, it is the smartphone that carries a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording and houses a 5MP front-facing cam.
The Dual SIM card slots offers 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS connectivity options on Redmi Note Prime. Xiaomi said that it is the second Mi phone to be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group.
The handset is currently an Amazon India exclusive, with sales opening tomorrow morning via Mi.com as well, on December 15th. The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime comes in White color and is priced at Rs. 8,499.
