YU Televentures four of Yunique, Yuphoroa, Yureka and Yureka Plus smartphones to receive stable Android Marshmallow builds next upcoming month. As the company has announced that it will be rolling out the latest version 6.0.1 Android Marshmallow update over-the-air within the next 30 days.
Prior to its official May 31 launch date of the company’s Yunicorn flaghsip, the Micromax subsidiary is willing to release stable build for current smartphones. The availability of Android 6.0.1 beta builds for four YU devices will be clarified an exact date very soon.
The company is although testing the Marshmallow beta builds internally, and also made it available for users to flash manually. If you’re one of those owners of YU YUPHORIA and YUREKA Plus can download it from the company’s official developer portal live from here: developer.yuplaygod.com
YU co-founder Rahul Sharma in a forum post officially confirmed that added users will be able to download Andtoid 6.0.1 Marshmallow OTA update build for Yureka, Yureka Plus, Yuphoria, and of course the YUNIQUE smartphones from Monday evening. Also added that these users will receive a stable version of the Marshmallow build in the next thirty days.
“Developers and contributors have been special to us. When we rolled out ‘Project Highway’, we wanted to get as many people on board as possible. Pleased to share that developer.yuplaygod.com is live as of now and happy to share today we are making available the open-sourced OS for Yureka, Yureka Plus, Yuphoria, and Yunique and inviting all the developers to participate and contribute to Yu-Open-OS,” said Sharma in a post.
Taking ‘Project Highway’ into action, which the YU founder said the company will be curating source codes from multiple drop points (such as Google’s AOSP repos, Chipset Vendors Repos), from where the developers are encouraged to contribute their best part. Test its internal YU enhancements to customize and create final builds which are said to arrive with the support all YU powered devices and other Android smartphone as well.
