Latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android has been made available for download. WhatsApp beta for Android has recently received a hidden font for developers. The font is similar to Fixedsys in Windows and so far seems to be only font option available to users. Now, another version of WhatsApp update brings two new features, the Voicemail and calling (not video calls) to the most popular instant messaging app for Android.
Version 2.16.189 of WhatsApp for Android gets call back and voice mail into the system, means if any user calls another on WhatsApp, and the other person on the either end declines or does not pick up the call, the caller will get a new screen showing three options – Cancel, Callback or Record Voice Messages.
Both the new WhatsApp features however are not been rolled out via the Google Play Store, but they’re available in the app’s latest beta version. The aforementioned instance will work for those users on the other side, which they doesn’t need to require the particular version of the Android app installed.
About the Call back option? It simply allows users to call the other person, while the voice mail feature shows up as a regular voice message to the recipient. To record voice mail, simply tap and hold on the given icon. The two new features on WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.16.189 are very easy to access as they are shown on the same screen.
As the name suggests, the WhatsApp call back feature also saves you from the need to go back two windows to call again. And the WhatsApp Voicemail works similar to what the audio message does. After recording the message, it will be shown in the Chat conversation between you and the receiver.
