Apple Stores To Open In Delhi, Bengaluru And Mumbai By End-2017

Apple’s CEO Tim Cook confirmed hist first visit to India, specifically won’t be coming to announce any Make in India product, but according to the reports, coming to meet PM Modi. Could also unveil a start-up accelerator in the country, the foremost initiative by Cupertino-based company. Today another report circulating suggesting that Tim Cook’s company will open three retail stores in India. What are they and where they’re located is what you’re keen to know.

The maker of iPhones and Mac systems, will set up three of its own retail stores in India, which includes, Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai within the next 18 months, a source familiar with the decision told FactorDaily.

Apple Seeks Government Permission to Open First Stores in India
Each iconic Apple Store will be spread across 10,000 square feet and will be located at high steel locations on the three mentors. As per the publication, Apple executives are searching for real estate, will need an investment of $3 million to $5 million (translates to 20 crore to 33 crore) budget each. Reportedly, a team of 40 Apple executives has been working on this project in Gurugram (formerly Gurgaon) office for past few months.

Another source close to Apple in India said the company is expected to make an announcement of the start-ups on Tuesday. Apple’s application for government permission for the opening of Apple Store had been made last year. While Apple currently retails through huge format economic stores, digital and exclusive stores it calls Apple Premium Resellers in the country.

Apple although clarified that it will start selling refurbished iPhones in India, which would be another major point in the discussion. Refurbished phones are used phones that are certified by Apple, resold much like how the certified car network functions in India.
