Apple Updates Leadership Page With Memoji Avatars For Execs Ahead Of World Emoji Day

Apple today gives its leadership page a Memoji overhaul in celebration of World Emoji day. Memojis are a new type of customizable Animoji coming to iPhone X with the release of iOS 12.

Before that arrival, Apple has updates its Leadership page with Memoji avatars of all its executives. You can now easily create a Memoji to match your personality and mood. Well, you can also make as many alter egos as you want to use in Messages and FaceTime.

Apple is truly going all-out for World Emoji Day. After showing off the 70 new emoji characters coming to iOS later this year, the Cupertino-based company has also overhauled its Apple Leadership webpage with new Memoji avatars.

As you can see, every executive listed on the Leadership page now features a Memoji face design, including Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, Jony Ive, Eddy Cue, Craig Federighi, Luca Maestri and perhaps best of all, Phil Schiller. And the rest of the leadership team are now represented by Memojis.

Similar to Animoji, Memoji are humanoid avatars that can be customized and personalized to look just like you with an array of options. You can simply choose skin color, hair color, hair style, eye color, eyebrows, nose, features like freckles and facial hair, accessories, and headwear when creating a Memoji.

Right now, Memoji, like Animoji, are limited to iPhone X, but feature devices including the Face ID camera system will also work with Animoji and Memoji, such as rumored iPad Pro models expected this fall in September.

To celebrate World Emoji Day, Apple overhauled Leadership page which is presumably today and will return to normal as early as Wednesday. Apple also highlighted the emojis we can expect to see in Unicode 1, which it plans to adopt later this year in either iOS 12 or an update to iOS 12 firmware.

Upcoming emoji characters include cold face, party face, pleading face, peacock, kangaroo, parrot, amd more, along with options for red hair, gray hair, and no hair.
