iOS 9 Code Tipped At 1080p iPhone 6s Front-Facing Camera With Flash

If loophole found in the latest beta release of iOS are anything to be trusted, Apple’s iPhone may be in for its huge camera overhauls yet. With the release of first beta of iOS 9 to developers, Apple following at its WWDC 2015 keynote, Hamza Sood set about picking it apart. Digging the beta code, he may have found the fisrt clues yet to be a reference of a vastly improved front-facing camera, likely set to arrive as part of this year’s new iPhone release, next upcoming fall.

He has evidently got his hands on iOS 9 beta 1 and found references to a new front-facing iPhone camera that we have not seen yet. With this one sporting in an impressive way that we never before seen on a shipping iPhone. Features includes being able to record 1080p or FullHD videos also offering slow-motin recording at 240fps. A panaromic photo feature and even found an LED flash could be on the cards according to Sood’s findings. Those features are currently reserve only for the main camera of the Apple iPhone family.

However, this obviously doesn’t mean anything is garunteed once the new iPhone models are announced, rumored to be the iPhone 6s / 6s Plus. The Cupertino giant is expected to reveal the successors of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September.

What to be imminent, one of the references to iPad slip-screen multitasking appeared quite some time before the feature made its way into iOS 9. No idea about such inclusions would appear all in one fell swoop, or piecemeal over the next couple or three iPhone generations. Expected that Apple is going to do with product launches, especially based on beta releases of iOS. Then again it’s a fools game, the iPhone’s front-facing camera is in need of a refresh. Currently with a 1.2-megapixel sensor supporting 720p video recoding, the front-facing iPhone camera could well do with a spruce up. If capable front-facing camera will surely be a welcome sight in the next iPhone iteration, especially the selfieā€™s constantly increasing popularity and clarifies that to be accurate, then we are greeted with yet another makeover.

Nothing is confirmed and whether this new information is to be believed, we have to wait and see what actually Apple has in its shelves to wrap off.
