WhatsApp For iOS Update Brings New ‘Storage Usage’ Option

You can now download the latest version 2.12.3 of WhatsApp for iOS. Updated with few interesting features, mostly focusing on bug fixes, but at the same time brings with it some new features such as additional archive option next to individual chats, and of course the unique ‘Storage Usage‘ statistics. The WhatsApp iOS users with the new update will now be able to archieve chats with just one swipe. Right swiping gesture used to first bring up the ‘More‘ and ‘Delete‘ options, and nevertheless, now onwards shows an additional ‘Archive‘ button as well.

Additional option in the ‘Accounts‘ section called ‘Storage Usage‘, which eventually gives you a lowdown of the amount of space your chats using on your device. With total amount of space, and in fact gives you an idea on how much and which groups or individual chats are eating up more space than the other. It  even breaks it down to which type of files (text, images, videos etc.) use much more space.

The new WhatsApp update is an extremely handy feature to trash out unnecessary chats eating up memory on your phone. For Android users, this update hasn’t yet rolled out. Stay tuned!

Two changes are evident in the new WhastsApp and as per the company, it has also fixed some bugs. And also brought WhatsApp Voice Calls feature, and other like slow-motion video sharing, location sharing and chat archiving among other upgrades.
