Apple’s iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Early Production With Next-Gen Force Touch Started

It’s said that Apple is starting production of its next-generation iPhones with Force Touch technology equipped into the new models of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Force Touch, first introduced with the Apple Watch, which is an ultimate feature that is able to distinguish between a light tap and a harder press, enabling a range of new gestures. Reports from Bloomberg also suggests that the two new iPhones will retain the same screen sizes and what are they and how they would be expected can be found right after this jump.


Next iPhone (6s/6s Plus) will retain the same 4.7″ and 5.5-inch display sizes, with an exterior design that’s largely unchanged. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed the addition of Force Touch could make the iPhone 0.2mm thicker, but currently its unclear if that rumor really become accurate.

Apple Inc. has started early production of new iPhone models with a feature called Force Touch, which senses how hard users are pressing down on a screen, people with knowledge of the matter said.

Its newest iPhones, in the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions as the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices, will have a similar exterior design, the people said. Volume manufacturing is scheduled to ramp up as soon as next month, they said.

Bloomber’s sources believe final assembly will go smooth, beacuse the design of the new iPhones will remain the same, but caution that production volume could be impacted by the supply and yield of displays for the next devices. Since Apple Watch unveil, the Cupertino giant has been working on to add Force Touch across its product range and thus far incorporated the feature into the trackpads of the Retina MacBook and Retina MackBook Pro. Now that from the past till today, it was admitted that the purported iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be coming with Force Touch integration.


If the news becomes true, then Apple is expected to debut its next-generation “iPhone 6s” and “iPhone 6s Plus” in September. Along with iOS 9 final running on them and will be available to download for public. Other rumors also suggest it could include an improved camera, 7000 series aluminum, and a new rose gold color option.
