According to a new report or prediction, you can call it is going to be the next significant date in Cupertino-based Apple Inc’s history. As the report suggests that Tim Cook and his executive team have September 12th penciled in as the date on which they will announce the Apple’s 2018 iPhone lineup to the world.

It was widely known that Apple will be unveiling its 2018 iPhones in September but when exactly? With the network reporting that the company tends to unveil its new iPhone range in the first half of September and then release the devices to the public in the third week or fourth of the month.

Apple’s Fall 2018 iPhone Keynote Event Date prediction

The site has used some historical data from previous iPhone announcements to try and take an educated guess at when the highly-anticipated 2018 iPhone line will be announced. As per CNET’s Lynn La, who believes that the company will be holding the 2018 iPhones keynote event on September 12. As he points, if Labor day in the United States is before the 3rd of September, the company tends to unveil its products in the following week. And if Labor Day is on 5th or later, the company could hold its event the following Wednesday (1.e. two days later).

Historical data also suggests that Apple always announces iPhones within the first two weeks of September and that this falls on either a Tuesday or a Wednesday. Taking those two limitations into account, and assuming the fact Apple follows the same pattern, that gives us potential media event days of September 4th, 5th, 11th, or 12th.

Lynn also believes Apple will be unveiling the 2018 iPhone lineup on September 12 since Labor Day falls on Sept. 3rd this year. So, taking all of those individual parameters into account, and projecting them into the current calendar year, it means that the world would be able to witness/get a view of the new iPhone range on the 11th to 12th of September.

Given the sensitivities around September 11th, it’s presumed the 12th will be the date:

For 2018, Labor Day falls on Monday, September 3. So, if Apple follows its recent pattern, the company would announce its new iPhones the following Tuesday or Wednesday: Sept. 11 and Sept. 12. These dates fit well with the expected iPhone in-store release dates too, which are usually a week-and-a-half after Apple makes its announcements.

As part of the keynote event, Apple is expected to give the usual talk on company performance as well as introduce three brand new iPhone models. One of those will be similar to the last year’s iPhone X with a 6.1-inch OLED display. One will be a larger 6.5-inch iPhone X “Plus” model. Also expected to see the final unit of a lower-priced 6.1-inch LCD model.
