Microsoft Acquires Wunderlist: A Task Management App’s Development Company

To-do Wunderlist app has now been purchased by Microsoft, and announces its acquisition of Task Management App’s Development Company. Acquires a Germa startup 6Wunderkinder GmbH at a deal between $100 million and $200 million, according to The Wall Street Journal.


What is Wunderlist app? It is a productivity app that works with almost all the mobile and desktop platforms. It allows users to plan, organize, and even share lists with others. Wunderlist is one of the most popular to-do list app which syncs across devices and forgot to says that its a cross-platform to-do list app. The service dovetails nicely with Microsoft’s ambitions of being a services provider for mobile enterprise.

Microsoft says that customers can now expect the Wunderlist app to remain free and will be available at no chrage for Wunderlist Pro, for Business customers and the service will continue to support a wide range of third-party apps and integrated services.

Now that it has become a part of Microsoft’s family and would continue grwoing the ecosystem of partner integrations and progress in delivering Wubderlist to billions of people. Microsoft has confirmed its acquisition of 6Wunderkinder and said that the acquisition is part of its wider plan to “reinvent productivity for a mobile-first, cloud-first world.” There are no planned price changes for Wunderlist Pro or Wunderlist for Business either, rather reassured Wunderlist users that the app will remain free in all of its existing markets.
