Admins, get ready for the Office 16, aka Microsoft Office 2016 arriving on September 22nd, 2015. The Office 2016 is a new version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite, succeeding both Office 2013 and Office for Mac 2011. Released on OS X this year for Official 365 subscribers. Now that the official release date for Microsoft Windows is confirmed on for September 22nd.
Roll out starts from the date which Microsoft has given and the latest version of Office comes with a number of new features for developers, administrators etc. In May 2015, Microsoft released Official 2016 Consumer Preview, which is said to be coming equipped with new, latest inclusions for desktop customers running on Windows 7, 8.1 and the recntly available as a free upgrade, Windows 10. Real time collaboration and file sharing are the two main agendas, With a new Dark theme, match input tool for Word, PowerPoint and Excel, the Officia 2016 also fully-integrated with heavy Cloud storage.
The “Insights” on Official 2016 for Excel and PowerPoint is powered by Bing. Various features of the new Official 2016 Preview was showcased by Microsoft in July. You can even join the Preview here.
Note: Consumers with Volume Licensing Agreements will be able to download Office 2016 on October 1st. As it was yesterday when Microsoft has revealed upcoming updates for its Office apps, for “Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and Microsoft Translator”, to take advantage of the capabilities on the iPad Pro, iOS 9 and watchOS 2.0.
