Tuning into the AR headset, Asus has confirmed that it is working on a headset for augmented reality applications and is expected to complete with the likes of Microsoft, have already created a developer edition of its own augmented-reality glasses that will be available to purchase sometime in early 2016 at a price-tag of $3000. That move is designed to spur developers to create HoloLens apps that will appeal to consumers.
Asus, is a well-known Taiwan-based computer manufacturing company has not released any specific details regarding the augmented reality haedset’s design or specifications for their Hololens-style device, but the company is currently “still evaluating” the architecture.
Finally it has been classified that Asus mulls Hololens augmented-reality glasses of its own, so Microsoft may not be the only game in town when it comes to reality galsses. Asus will be the first outside company to build a version of Microsoft’s device that could give a boost to augmented reality, which evidently projects 3D images in front of your eyes and overlays them on real-world environments.
The well-known company for building affordable PCs, Asus could eventually create a less expensive version of the glasses that may end up in your home. As for Microsoft’s HoloLens, Myerson declined to say when his company may begin selling a cheaper version meant for consumers.
