Taiwan-based handset maker Asus has announced the first smartphone in the ZenFone 4 series, the ZenFone 4 Max. Boasting a a massive 5000mAh battery, the ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL) has now been launched in Russia, which it sports dual rear cameras. Here are the details you need to know about.
Pricing starts at RUB 13,900 (roughly Rs. 15,000), the ZenFone 4 Max will be going on sale in Russia currently, with no word on international availability as yet.
The new ZenFone 4 Max is also said to be one of the first out of the five ZenFone models expected to launch this month. Asus as unveiled the new ZenFone 4 Max in two different chipset combinations likely targeted at different markets. The phone comes in two variants; one powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC and the other by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC. Now, the price has been revealed for the Snapdragon 425 CPU variant.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max will be available in three color options, including Black, Gold and Pink. There is a dual SIM support, a fingerprint sensor, and all the way comes in two variants based on processor.
The ZenFone 4 Max features a metal unibody design with antenna lines placed in the same location as found on the predecessor, ZenFone 3 Max. However, this time the speaker grille has been re-positioned to the bottom of the smartphone.
Display, CPU and Rest
It is equipped with a 5.5-inch display combined with 1080x1920p screen resolution. It is available with a 1.4GHz octa-core SD430 SoC and also powered by SD425 quad SoC. The smartphone includes up to 4GB of RAM with 16GB/32GB/64GB of inyernal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The smartphone packs a pair of 13MP primary camera sensor with autofocus and wide-angle camera spect with f/2.0 aperture. Up front, for selfies, the ZenFone 4 Max is also added an 8-megapixel camera with f.2.2 aperture and 140-degree panorama mode.
Talking about the USP of the ZenFone 4 Max is its 5000mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 3 hours of talk timne on 15-minutes of charging. The company also claims that one can watch up to 22 hours of video on the smartphone with the given battery power.
The smartphone runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Zen UI layered above. Yes, of course, it supports dual SIM through a non-hybrid slot. It measures 154×76.9×8.9mm and weighs 181 grams. The ZenFone 4 Max supports dual Nano-SIM cards.
