BlackBerry KEYone Listed On India Retailer Website, Price Revealed

An online retailer in India has finally listed the newly announced BlackBerry KEYone on its website, complete with device’s specifications and the full retail price. Here are the details of BlackBerry KEYone including features, somewhat reviews and comparisons.


Before you get-go on buying BlackBerry KEYone handset you should concern something more. The BlackBerry’s new KEYone is specifically designed to those who still love phones with physical keyboard. BlackBerry unveiled its much awaited smartphone at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) expo in Barcelona. As the company’s last in-house designed and developed Android smartphone.

What’s more delighted with the BlackBerry’s new iteration would be that the new KEYone tried to revive its most fancy feature, which is its physical QWERTY keyboard in a more acceptable manner, unlike the Priv that features a slider design.

BlackBerry KEYone price in India is only expected to be Rs. 39,999, according the listing in the country by the retailer. Actually it was said BlackBerry priced the KEYone at $549 in the US, which will hit the markets in April.

BlackBerry has not announced a timeframe for India launch, but a retailer has listed the KEYone smartphone online along with its budget. Listed as the BlackBerry KEYone is “Coming Soon” on OnlyMobiles, and the price declared of 39,999 for the black model. All specs and description has been showing off in the listing and still there’s a one year warranty too, which according to the website is by BlackBerry India.

The smartphone which is listed also has an EMI option starting at Rs 1,940 per month, along with accessories such as USB Type-C Cable, USB Power Adapter, Earphone and User Manual as the box content. Well, you will also be getting a refund if the price drops within the thirty day of purchase.

Highlight of the BlackBerry KEYone will be its QWERTY keyboard that actually looks like a “smart keyboard” as each key can be programmed to bring up apps or contacts mostly used. The keyboard can also be used as a touchpad, which allows user slide across to navigate between homescreens and webpages. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint scanner – embedded inside the spacebar of the keyboard.

BlackBerry also injected some security features into the Android OS, like the DTEK-series which monitors the operating system and apps to inform users about their privacy status. This smartphone called KEYone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, and the DTEK on top is able to alert users when the handset is being used by someone else without their permission. Apps come pre-installed with BBM and BlackBerry Hub, which the Canada-based firm is planning to roll out monthly security patches.

It sports a 4.5-inch display, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 3GB RAM, camera on back of 12MP and a selfie shooter of 8MP portraits, 4G LTE, WiFi, and other connectivity features.
