How To Check iPhone X Battery Percentage In Status Bar

Here’s a simple guide on how to check iPhone X battery percentage indicator in the status bar of iOS on your new iPhone.

On iPhone X, which it comes with top notch and no such toggle exists. To identify batter icon in the right “horn” of the display and no way to look up just what percentage of power remains.

There’s no doubt that the Apple’s iPhone X delivers strong endurance and lasts more than an hour longer than the average phone. But there are still question on your iPhone X battery life.

When doing this on an average iPhone or iPad, owners have become used to being able to view the exact battery level in a numerical format with a quick glance at the status bar on their devices. Previously, you could go to Settings > Battery and toggle on Battery Percentage to see exactly how much power remaining or had left. That information is technically still visible on iPhone X but just presented in a different way. Without further delay, let’s just dive right in and take a look at Apple’s implementation of this on iPhone X.

Get Battery Percentage on iPhone X, How?

Even though there’s no Battery Percentage toggle available to turn on in the Settings app, there’s still a better way to see the percentage on iPhone X battery.

Step 1: Take your bezel-less new iPhone X and unlock it using your Face ID’s face authentication from the Lock screen. You will notice that in the top-right hand corner, you can see the battery indicator as you can on all of Apple’s devices, but no battery percentage.

Step 2: Touch to put your finger to the top right “horn” where the battery icon is present. Now, swipe down to invoke Control Center. In short, swipe down to pull down Control Center. With iPhone X, it’s from the top right side of the “notch”.

Step 3: Once again, cast your attention to the top-right corner of CC and you will notice the battery indicator with the addition of the percentage sitting alongside it. Check out the battery percentage at the top right.

Step 4: Swipe up again to dismiss Control Center. Done already, the percentage indicator disappears, but, as the above process shows, it’s easy to view it when you want system-wide from just about any place iOS running on iPhone X.

What About Battery Percentage on the iPhone X’s main screens?

And yes, it’s totally not the same as always on, always glanceable Battery Percentage on every screen, but it is just a swipe away. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible with iPhone X to get the battery percentage text on the Home screen shown at all times in what is now a modified status bar with a notch cut out. Anytime you want to see Battery Percentage, repeat the Control Center process.

You can argue the “horn” design of iPhone X doesn’t have enough room for an always-on Battery Percentage indicator. That can’t predict massive ups and downs of battery drain when you start using apps like Snapchat and Pok√©mon Go, or Photos start syncing in the background.

We have no idea, if iPhone X ever gets jailbroken, maybe we’ll see an array of status bar tweaks that rectify this “problem.”
