Beating the Vivo X5 Max which is the previous holder of the “world’s slimmest” title, the Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini has now become official. It’s the new world’s thinnest handset which was actually teased once back in January. Full details after this fold!
The Ivvi K1 Mini got just 4.7mm thin aesthetics, which is 0.5mm less than the X5 Max and 1.5mm less than the Oppo R5. Evidently, the Coolpad’s mini smartphone becomes the world’s thrid thinnest gadget.
The new Ivvi K1 Mini won’t be coming with any top-end offerings, but it will instead be available with midrange specifications, paired with a “baby skin” texture on its back, which should not attract any fingerprints.
Sporting a 4.7-inch touchscreen the phone also packs an 8MP primary camera, 5-megapixel front snapper and backed up by a 1800mAh battery. The company says that the phone will come with a lot of camera centric features like beauty shots and intelligent algorithms to capture the best possible image.
It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC (expected to be clocked at 1.2GHz quad-core CPU), coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB ROM with 4G LTE support functionality. It also has an intelligent remote control feature which allows the user to control almost anything at home including air conditioners, washing machines, televisions and many more appliances.
The Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini is priced at CNY 1,299 ($207 or €180 approx). Available to buy in China in white and its not clear whether it will be ever officiall go on sale in other markets such as India for instance.
