Microsoft Opens Pre-orders For Xbox One X 1TB Standard Edition

Microsoft’s Xbox One X 1TB Standard Edition pre-orders are now live and available. Here are the details.

More than 130 games have now been “enhanced” for the standard Xbox One X console. This console will be out on November 7th worldwide.

During Gamescom last month, the Redmond-based company opened pre-orders for a special ‘Project Scorpio’ edition, but they ran out fast. In fact, Microsoft says it was “the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order ever.”

The Xbox One X will run the same games as the cheaper Xbox One S. The regular version is basically the same, save for a tiny green Scorpio logo on the 1TB console and controller. It costs $499.99/£449.99 and is available now through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft.com and a host of local retailers.

The Xbox One X Scorpio Edition was a limited edition release that sold so well that its pre-orders managed to total a record number within five days. Now that the Standard Edition is available to pre-order.

Today, Microsoft confirmed that “more than 130” new and existing games have now been “enhanced” for the Xbox One X Standard Edition. Pre-orders are currently live at the usual array of retail outlets, including on online giants like Amazon, for $499.

Many games for the Xbox One X Standard Edition will be “enhanced”, with up to 4K resolution graphics and 60 frames per second performance. Those include Far Cry 5, the remastered L.A. Noire and Okami HD.

The Xbox One X has plenty of power with which to enhance your gaming experience. Not to say it features 6 teraflops of graphical prowess as well as 4K Blu-ray player. Thankfully you can expect all existing Xbox One games and accessories to work on the fully enhanced machine. Probably, you do not need to plug this thing into a 4K display if you have not upgraded yet-everything will work just fine in FHD (1080p) and, we suspect, look absolutely stunning.

That number of games should improve over time as the One X install base grows and more developers experiment with the console. Like us, you’re struggling to keep track of the “enhanced” roster, Microsoft has set up a dedicated website at xbox.com/enhanced. You will definitely want to give the Xbox One X a 4K screen with which to play in order to take full advantage of what “most powerful console ever” is capable of with its native ability to play games at 4K resolution as well as with HDR.

Games play better on Xbox One X. With 40% more power than any other console, experience immersive true 4K gaming. Blockbuster titles look great, run smoothly, and load quickly even on a 1080p screen. Xbox One X also works with all your Xbox One games and accessories as well as Xbox Live, an extemely advanced multiplayer network, giving you more ways to play.

Microsoft with the availability of Xbox One X Standard Edition in November promises to be a big, and popular release. You can pre-order it today so that you could get it on launch day.
