Samsung Galaxy S9 Features Tipped So Early, Details Guessed

In a new report today, some of Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S9 features have been tipped. Here are the details that aren’t officially confirmed by the company itself as yet.

Published online, it may seem a little early to be getting excited about next Galaxy S series smartphone, that too before the launch of Galaxy Note 8 this way. But the influx of information has indeed already started. The South Korean company’s S8 and S8+ smartphones have proved insanely popular with the Android community, the success that it received was given to the stunning Infinity Display for.

With that said, it seem for Samsung to try something very new with the Galaxy S9, especially since the display has been so popular, which is why it makes perfect sense that the first S9 speculation suggests that the company will use the exact same display on that new flaghsip next year.

A new rumor already suggests Samsung is working on the Galaxy S9, as it is speculated, all the words relating to what we assume will be called the same Galaxy S9 and S9+ when they launches, though apparently codenamed “Star” for now.

It’s becoming more and more accepted by customers that companies like Samsung and Apple don’t need to refresh devices every twelve months with full technology and design upgrades. Apple in this situation has been playing a fair role and manages to maintain an extremely popular iPhone range based on a refresh cycle which sees a new device every year, but which includes significant technology and aesthetic improvements every twenty-four to thirty-six months.

If the rumors are anything to be trusted now, the release date for the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ not expected until March or April 2018, before that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 appears first, which is though to be coming at the end of August, beginning of September.

The front will therefore no doubt remain a key element detail, along with the dual edges, also see the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor move elsewhere.

The Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ will follow the trend of S8’s 5.8-inch screen, while the S9+’s will be of S8+ – has 6.2-inch screen, though thanks to the 18.5:9 ratios, their bodies are narrower than other handsets with smaller display.

It’s unknown right yet that the S9 will increase its display size (Super AMOLED panel or Mobile HDR Premium” both likely. According to Korean Media that claimed the S9 and S9+ will both remain the current sizes so 5.8″ and 6.2″ respectively.

By 2018, the latter screen size aforementioned is likely to be more prominent too as more content become available to take advantage of it. Will Samsung increase the resolution from Quad-HD+? It may introduce a shocking 4K display, since Sony offers one on its Xperia XZ Premium and given the trend for VR.

Samsung Galaxy S9: Camera

Great performer expected, as the Samsung Galaxy S devices have offered excellent camera base since the Galaxy S6, improving year-by-year, so we’d expect that same from the Galaxy S9.

Iris scanning is present on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and it works brilliantly so we’d expect to see the technology appear on the S9, probably further improved again. Possibility there of dual-rear camera setup. The Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to be coming with a dual-rear camera, following the trend set by LG, Huawei and Apple. Battery-wise, again it is not clear if we will see an increase in capacity for the S9, but nevertheless, there will no doubt be improvements in performance from the processor and the software point. USB Type-C is almost certainly, while the 3.5mm headphone jack will probably remain questionable until launch, as it did with the S8 and S8+.
