The show is on now and until you actually know anything authentic, but this could be our very first look at Apple’s 2016 flaghsip iPhone 7 Plus. Entirely not real and we got no way to determine if this is an official prototype of the iPhone 7 Plus that has rolled out of the assembly line in China. Nevertheless, this glimpse on iPhone 7 Plus insider raises interesting questions about the potential design of the next new iPhone and gives us a better look at the improved dual-lens camera module that could ship with the hardware later this year.
The hardware’s overall shape definitely resembles the current form-factor of the iPhone 6s Plus in terms of its dimensions and curved edges. The device shown in this leaked image will however be coming with a substantially different camera system that what we currently have with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Immediately notable is the larger pill-shaped aperture, which protrudes from the back of the device, also has clearly been extended to play home to the highly speculated dual-lens camera setup that we are hearing from long ago.
Un-confirmed asset is that whether or not Apple will use the dual-camera system as a differentiating factor with the available iPhone 7 models. Sources out there speculating lot on that iPhone 7 Plus will stand above its smaller non-plus brother as the more premium of the two models, because for its equipped with this innovative camera solution. In fact, with this new leak, suggests at least one of the models will ship with dual-camera lenses.
Particularly looking at this closely, you will also notice three small dots that are located at the bottom rear of the shown device. The leaked photo itself isn’t shown in great quality though, but it’s likely that this specific could be the presence of a Smart Connector port that would eventually allow the iPhone 7 Plus – and perhaps iPhone 7 as well – to be used with a range of new and innvative accessories. This type of connectivity was introduced with the release of 12.9-inch iPad Pro last year.
The new one however does not show us the bottom end of the phone, leaving us in blank question of the 3.5mm headphone jack and the arrival of a dual-speaker setup, but actually does pack the cleaner redesigned antenna lines that has been speculated for a while now.
Interesting part here is that the source suggests that Apple is also looking forward to increase the storage capacity of the upcoming phones from 128GB to a massive 256GB. Building on the new leak, iPhone customizers Feld & Volk have also released a render of the iPhone 7 Plus, carrying elements seen in the leaked photographs.
For now, this is it. Currently there are no other renders or speculations spelled yet, but would definitely like to see a few more leaks of this nature to provide some kind of legitimacy to the leaked photo before we take it as gospel. Today, it’s great start to get a feel of what could possibly be coming with the un-announced iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
