Newly Leaked iPhone 7 Conceptualized Video Offers Side-By-Side Comparison With iPhone 6s

Renders and the new video clip of the side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 7 vs iPhone 6s posted to Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. Shows up the upcoming iPhone 7 casing against Apple’s current iPhone 6s flagship.

The conceptualized video embedded below runs to over two and half minutes and gives us much better idea of the prospective design than last week’s seven-second clip.

Showcasing the origin of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 hardware, which it matches the Space Gray of the iPhone 6s, and features a larger camera and re-positioned antenna bands, that appeared in previous images and alleged design leaks. Furthermore, it clearly specifies the lack of the iconic 3.5mm headphone jack, with a second speaker grille alongside the Lightning port where it used to be.

Just yesterday, a Trademarked filing disclosed the Apple’s wireless ‘AirBods’ is real and it is better coming with iPhone 7 launch this September. Apart that, the model comparison offers an idea of the relative size of the new camera lens and the surrounding bezel that protrudes from the body of the phone.

This newly outed video and images also line up with previous rumors suggesting the iPhone 7 will retain the dimensions of the now available iPhone 6s model. Based on the widely held assumption that the headphone jack has had its day in Apple’s mobile segment, the extra space would be expected to allow for redesigned internals and potentially a larger battery package.

Additionally, the iPhone 7 is said to be coming equipped with the new A10 processor, which could get 3GB RAM memory inside, up from 2 gigs. Internal storage is also decidedly getting a boost, with the entry-level devices expected to start at 32GB instead of 16GB, previous.


Unfortunately, not shown in the video is the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, rumored to have a dual-lens camera module with a wider camera sensor cutout. The removal of the headphone jack in both models is also believed to improve their water-resistance.
