Download iTunes: Update Version 12.5.5 For macOS And Windows Released, Here’s The Changelog

Apple has made available to download iTunes 12.5.5 for both macOS and Windows. Here are the release note details of new iTunes update.

Following on from the earlier release of macOS Sierra 10.12.3, watchOS 3.1.3 and tvOS 10.1.1, users can now also download a newly updated iTunes version 12.5.5. Now available to download directly from the Mac App Store for macOS users and Windows users can get the same by choosing to “Check for Updates.” The option can be found under the iTunes Help Menu on top.

Of course, it’s been a busy day for Apple’s software teams, the new release, brings with it plethora of newly updated software coming out of Cupertino today, does not appear to be a large one. What are the changes? Apple’s official notes do not go into great detail, but no new features or functionality are listed and the only update offered by the company is that the release merely offers “minor app and performance improvements”.

When compared to the previous release of iTunes, 12.5.4, came back in December only brought with it support for the new TV app as well as the Touch Bar on the recently updated MacBook Pro. With this new release, we expect the changes to have been made under the hood. To just make us happy in the knowledge that iTunes is still receiving updates, even if we would rather see it be replaced with multiple bespoke apps rather than experiencing live under one iTunes branded roof.

The company, Apple maybe finally getting around on sorting out things, after finally releasing new Mac Pros and Mac minis. Just imagine it?
