Microsoft Band 2 Gets Updated With GPS Power Saver, Weight Tracking And More

Microsoft Band 2’s battery life can also be extended to for up to four hours when you run or riding a bike with GPS tracker. The latest update brings GPS power saving mode to the MS Band 2, allowing wearers same GPS location in intervals. Microsoft Health has also been updated, which now onwards map your route in the mobile app and web dashboard, even when the GPS Power Saver on Microsoft Band 2 is turned on, which is also integrated to its Health app across Windows Phone devices, iOS and Android.

Now that with the new update, you can track your weight manually be entering your weight into the Microsoft Health app on Band 2, to view in one or three month charts – ore to check the complete past history to-date in the app. The updated Band 2 also offers BMI data or better tracking features.

On your Band 2, you can even create Guided workouts and can also be shared with your friends and family. Currently, the Microsoft Band 2 update and the weight-charting feature of the Health app are now rolling out. This update comes just two months after Microsoft Band received Music controls, activity reminders etc. in December 2015.
