Ahead of the official launch in India, Oppo A71 (2018) which was quietly announced in September 2017, has today debuts in Pakistan. Here are the details you need to know about it.
The A71 (2018) model is very similar to its predecessor but packs a couple of improvements and other changes. Specifications-wise, the A71 (2018) has the same 720p (5.2-inches) display, 1GB less RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, dual SIM functionality, 13-megapixel camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP f/2.4 selfie shooter on the front, and hardly includes a 3,000mAh battery as the original A71.
What’s new in the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 chipset? Actually, Oppo A71 (2018) replaced the old MediaTek MT6750, Snapdragon SoC comes with the Adreno 506 GPU and a CPU with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz and should enable an improvement in app starting speed of 12.5% on average compared to last years model.
This year’s A71 variant also got the exact same dimensions as that, measuring 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm, and weighs the same 137g. But the chip is paired with 2GB of RAM. And the Oppo A71 (2018) runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. So you can use OPPO’s “AI Beauty Recognition Technology”, which is purely based on a global image database that serves as an experienced photographer, who knows your beauty and will offer the most desirable beauty effect for you, according to the official website.
