Samsung Launches Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM Phablet For Rs 51400

It’s official now. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM (SM-N9208) smartphone has been announced in Indian market, which was already made available in Taiwan and other Asian countries such as Malysia and Philippines later on.

The Dual SIM version of the phablet holds two Nano-SIM card slots and unlikely to have a hybrid SIM option, found in Galaxy A series, so that you can use the secondary SIM slot for expandable microSD card.

Samsung has only launched Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM with 32GB of internal storage and in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colors. Specifications on this version are similar to the stock Galaxy Note5 with single SIM, which it carries a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED curved dual edge display at a pixel density of 518ppi. It is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and soon be upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The phablet is powered by an Octa-Core (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) 64 bit, 14nm Exynos 7420 processor. Photography department goes with a 16MP camera on its back with LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), f/1.9 aperture and supports 4K (UHD) video recording and on its front-facing, you will find a 5MP chooster with f/1.9 aperture.

The new Galaxy Note5 dual-SIM also equipped with Heart Rate sensor and Fingerprint reader and supports 4G LTE connectivity options including 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, ANT+, NFC. Battery on this package you are going to get a 3000mAh unit with Fast Charging capabilities wired and wirelessly.

In an interview with ET, Manu Sharma, director-product marketing at Samsung India, said:

In the high-end segment, we saw a very strong trend of people using dual-SIMs in our A series smartphones. Consumers want a premium device, which has a local SIM and space for another SIM. We will continue doing products that will address an opportunity and we will drive the dual-SIM market in the premium segment, starting with the Note 5.
