GoPro Hero4 Session Is The Company’s Smallest, Lightest Action Camera Priced At $399

GoPro has introduced its what so-called the “smallest, lightest and most convinient GoPro, yet.” Announced the new Hero4 Session with best quality camera actions, which it will be available in its simplicity and size.The package of Hero4 Session camera comes in significantly lighter and smaller bundle than the previous Hero4 Black and Silver solutions. GoPro Inc., the popular maker of tiny miniature video cameras, is making them even tinier than ever. How tiny? With the size of an ice cube, it unveiled GoPro Hero4 Session, about half that of previous GoPros. Intertestingly, it can fit into your pocket and spokes of a bike, hang onto the end of a fishing pole or turn a toddler into a documenatry filmaker.

When the Session goes on sale July 12 for $399 it will be capable of capturing 1080p60, 720p100 and 1440p30 video as well as shooting eight megapixel still images with the usual Single, Burst and Time Lapse modes. Ultimate features found in previous GoPro offerings such as SuperView, Protune and Auto Low Light recording modes are still present in the Hero4 Session.

The Session features a sleek frame mounting system that’s compatible with all existing GoPro mounts and will also ship with a dual microphone system to capture enhanced audio in less than adequate conditions, such as high wind or when partaking in water-based activities.

GoProGoPro2Connectivity to the native GoPro app and Smart Remote will still be handled by the built-in Bluetooth and WiFi sensors. Users can access more controls and settings from companion GoPro App or Smart Remote app. Those parting with $399 can expect to receive standard and low-profile frame mounts as part of the purchased package allowing them to get up and running almost on time with the new highly versatile, rugged GoPro legacy creation.

Although the Hero4 Session looks great. For starters, it has no 4K video recording, and the battery is non-removable with up to 2 hours of battery life. No way you will get a viewfinder either, and you can only change the camera’s settings from the iOS or Android companion app. So you need to carry with you a phone all times to tinker around with the settings.
